About the event
Teach Self-Acceptance is the fifth workshop in The G.R.E.A.T. Community Workshop Mini Series, developed by Mind Emotional Nurturing (MINDEMN CLG).
Taking place on World Mental Health Day, this session is designed for educators, youth workers and community professionals. Participants will explore self-acceptance from the inside out, first considering their own thoughts, emotions and responses, before exploring how they can model and support self-acceptance in young people.
Using a trauma-informed, non-clinical and compassion-based coaching approach, the workshop supports participants to:
Explore what self-acceptance means and what it doesn’t
Notice thoughts and emotions without letting them define self-worth
Recognise how Stress, Anxiety, Insecurity or Doubt can influence self-judgement
