The GREAT SCREAM programme is a cutting-edge social-emotional learning (SEL skills) initiative designed for secondary schools to empower students and transform the educational experience. Rooted in the belief that self-awareness, emotional balance, and self-regulation are the foundation for academic success, this programme provides both students and teachers with tools to stimulate growth, resilience, and effective learning strategies.
CPD for Educators
The GREAT SCREAM Programme for Schools (The Educators) is a two-day intensive training initiative. It is a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course empowering educators to become cognitive-behavioural coaches. It enables teachers to guide students using the principles of cognitive behaviour & coaching skills. Through this training, educators learn to facilitate student self-awareness, goal-setting, and emotional management, enhancing their role in promoting student growth.

Training
2-Day Core Training Programme Outlined:
Cost: €300.00
Duration: 16 Hours (8 hours per day)
Audience: Transition Year Educators and Youth and Community Educators
Focus: Developing educators’ interpersonal and professional skills to foster SEL skills in students.
The programme will:

Introduces the core principles of CBC.

Neuroscience, and the Brain-Mind-Emotion-Body connection.

Focuses on applying CBC strategies in a real-world setting.
Day 1
Theoretical Foundations of the GREAT SCREAM
The 123 of Nurturing Minds and Emotions
By the end of Day 1, participants will:

Understand the connection between Brain (1), Mind (2), and Body (3)

Explore child and adolescent brain development and emotional responses

Recognise how thoughts and feelings affect behaviour, stress, and learning

Learn how CBC aligns with the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) framework

Reflect on the role of the educator in supporting emotional safety and growth
Day 2
Practical Applications of the GREAT SCREAM
The ABC of Nurturing Minds and Emotions.
By the end of Day 2, participants will:
