​The GREAT SCREAM programme is a cutting-edge social-emotional learning (SEL skills) initiative designed for secondary schools to empower students and transform the educational experience. Rooted in the belief that self-awareness, emotional balance, and self-regulation are the foundation for academic success, this program provides both students and teachers with tools to stimulate growth, resilience, and effective learning strategies.​​

CPD for Educators
The GREAT SCREAM Program for Schools (The Educators) is a two-day intensive training initiative. It is a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course empowering Transition Year teachers to become cognitive-behavioural coaches. It enables teachers to guide students using the principles of cognitive behaviour & coaching skills. Through this training, educators learn to facilitate student self-awareness, goal-setting, and emotional management, enhancing their role in promoting student growth.

2-Day Core Training Programme Outlined:

Audience: Transition Year Teachers and Community Educators
Focus: Developing educators’ interpersonal and professional skills to foster SEL in students.

By the end of this 2-day training course, educators will be able to:

Apply Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) principles and interventions to support students’ self-belief, self-regulation, and self-management.

Equip students with the tools to develop positive beliefs and longlasting behavioural changes about learning and achieving personal, academic, and work experience success.

Synthesise all principles and skills learnt during the training into actionable strategies for their classrooms.

Promote reflective practices and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
Day 1
Theoretical Foundations of GREAT SCREAM

Learning Outcomes:
​By the end of Day 1, participants will:

Understand the foundational principles of the GREAT SCREAM framework and its connection to SEL (Social and Emotional Learning).

Explore the science of the brain, mind, and body (behaviour) connection in adolescents, with a focus on Transition Year students.

Identify the developmental, behavioural, and psychological challenges faced by students and explore effective intervention strategies.

Learn the ABC model and CBC approach to cultivate self-awareness and cognitive restructuring.

Understand the nine self-management principles and their role in helping students build emotional resilience, self-regulation, and self-belief.

Day 2
​Practical Applications of GREAT SCREAM

Explore in-depth tools and techniques to help students develop self-belief, self-regulation, and self-management skills.

Learn to use the GREAT SCREAM Framework to increase students’ emotional intelligence and academic performance.

Discover tools and techniques to help students effectively process emotions and identify triggers in learning, school, and other social situations.

Practice using CBC questioning techniques to guide students toward healthier thought patterns and behaviours.

Learn to model self-care practices as educators to inspire students while nurturing their minds and emotions (ME).
